How to Setup Google Analytics For a Website

Google Analytics is a web analytics service by Google that helps to track website traffic.

Follow these steps to integrate Google Analytics into your website:

1. Go to Google Analytics and sign in using your Google account. After sigining in, you'll be redirected to Google Analytics welcome page as show below:

2. Click on the Set up for free button. You'll be redirected to Account setup page.
3. On the Account name field, you can provide your website name or any name that may be helpful for you to identify your Google Analytics account. Select all the checkboxes and click on the Next button.
4. Next, you'll be redirected to another page where you will be asked to choose between website, mobile and both for measurement. Select Web and click on the Next button.

5. On the Property setup page, fill in your website details and click on the create button. Example shown below:

6. Next, accept Google Analytics Terms of Service Agreement . when you are shown the communications page , select all and click on the Save button. Example below:

7. Next, you'll be provided tracking code as shown in the image below. Copy the Global Site Tag code and paste it within your website head section .

8. This is all we need to do. Now, you can go to the Google Analytics Home page and check if your setup is working. Open a new tab on your browser and visit your website. You must see real-time data.
